Hi, I’m Natasha.
Growing up as a neurodivergent daughter of immigrants in Los Angeles, I never imagined I’d become a therapist.
After majoring in English at Loyola Marymount University, I aspired to become a lawyer. When I graduated, I worked as a legal assistant in a criminal defense law firm and realized just how much I loved listening to our clients’ stories, and understanding what brought them to the complicated juncture of needing high-stakes legal representation. Overwhelmingly, I found the answer began in childhood. That realization shifted my sights away from law and toward helping children thrive.
A year later, after interning at a pediatric clinic that specialized in therapies for neurodivergent children, I became a behavioral therapist. Over the next five years, I worked with neurodivergent youth, their teachers, and their families, while also becoming a strong advocate for ethical reform within the behavioral therapy industry. As a Lead Therapist, I trained new therapists to shed outdated, ableist modalities, such as forced eye contact or stim extinguishing, and instead emphasized practices that reduced autistic burnout (increased rest breaks, recognizing and honoring needs), decreased self-injurious behaviors, supported sensory needs as necessary accommodation, and always encouraged client autonomy. I then pursued my graduate studies in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School, where I shifted my focus beyond observable behaviors to prioritize the emotional, relational, and inner worlds and well-being of my clients.
Upon becoming an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I began working in adolescent treatment with adolescents and their families for the next two years while maintaining a private caseload of children, adolescents, and young adults. Today, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work in private practice, specializing in supporting neurodivergent, insecurely attached, and highly sensitive people navigating the beautiful, complicated journey of being human. My approach is a blend of clinical expertise, experiential creativity, and genuine curiosity, grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and an unwavering belief that change is always possible with the right support and people who believe in you.
If you tend to struggle with your relationships, feel emotions especially deeply, are passionately creative, and often feel overwhelmed by stress and burnout, I can offer a space where your depth is valued and your inner world is explored with curiosity and care. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to begin your therapy journey today. I'm so glad you're here taking the first step.
